Vendors Reviews - Everyone we've talked to or chose to work with
THE WELLINGTON - Online, this place looks fantastic and their prices are great!! We thought this would be THE place so we went there first on our scouting trip. It is a little off strip, maybe 15 minutes? It's located in a strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside really was beautiful. We had an appointment set up but we were a few minutes early. No problem, the owner said we were welcome to look around while we waited. The lady we had an appointment with never did show up so the owner showed us around. The place was decorated for a wedding later that day and looked beautiful (very large and open feel). I brought with us the package prices that I printed out on the website and when I wanted to discuss the packages the owner told me they were redoing the packages and as soon as we left she would email me the new prices. STILL WAITING ON THAT EMAIL, 5 MONTHS LATER. She was also supposed to get back to me about availability on our date. Hmm. I believe the trick with this place is to bug them until they finally respond, but honestly, that's not my style. If you can get them to work with you, the place is beautiful. But if you would worry about not hearing back, don't bother with them.
THE FLAMINGO - We set up a tour of their 2 outside chapels, both were beautiful and the coordinator that showed us around had all the answers to our questions. I was a little worried about the locations not being private enough so we ended up not choosing to have our wedding here. However, it IS beautiful!
LITTLE CHURCH OF THE WEST - We set an appointment up here as well, however we were treated pretty coldly when we showed up. I don't know if they get a lot of tourists acting like they are interested just to get pictures around the chapel? That's what it felt like. Once we started asking about availability on our day they started to take us more seriously and let us walk around the property. We weren't allowed in the chapel because they like to reduce to wear on the chapel since it is a historic building. When you look in the door, you can see everything you would need to from there. It was cute, charming and a little rustic. I really liked it!
CAESARS PALACE - This was last of the venues we toured on our scouting trip and it was LOVE at first site! They had so many different chapels and gardens and Valarie (sales coordinater) was SO helpful and patient while she showed us each property. We ultimately decided to get married in one of the chapels inside so that we didn't have to worry about what weather would be like that day, but ALL the different locations were perfect.
MAGGIANOS LITTLE ITALY - We only toured 2 reception locations, the wellington and maggianos. We had heard so many wonderful things about Maggiano's and everything was confirmed when we met Cassy and saw the reception site. It was absolutely everything we wanted! The big bar has a classy and timeless feel, the balcony over looks the north end of the strip and allows our smokers to step outside, but it isn't big enough that they would want to leave the party entirely to hang out there (I saw this at a wedding once unfortunately). So far, we haven't asked Cassy to do much but she has been super easy to communicate with!
BENTLY & WILSON - We have Todd for our Wedding Day photography and couldn't be more excited! His work is gorgeous and he is SUPER affordable! We have him booked for 8 hours including a strip tour between our ceremony and reception.
DOUBLE DECKER BUS CO - We've booked the DD Bus for a 2 hour strip tour.
MARY MEYER PHOTOGRAPHY - We purchased a Groupon for a 2 hour photo session with Mary Meyer. She is based in LV and the photos on her blog are great! I am so excited!! I believe we paid $50 for the session and she is offering the the Groupon people the disc w. all images for $170. SO THRILLED!
VISTAPRINT - I purchased a livingsocial deal for vistaprint (I think $15 for a $50 credit?). I designed our save the dates in powerpoint, submitted the file and when it arrived we just blinged it up a little bit. Their printing is perfect and I will be using them for the rest of our printing!
SUZANNE'S BRIDAL - I put dress shopping off for about as long as I could (7 months, 1 week) and finally dived in. Suzanne's was recommended to me by a friend and co-worker and I am so glad I went there! I tried on about 10 dresses and fell in loooove with the first one! I ordered my dress and veil that same day. Alterations will be done in house @ an additional estimated $200.
