How we met

Picture
Jason and I talked on the phone before we ever met. I lived in Columbus, OH at the time and was looking to line up a job in my hometown (Phoenix, AZ) so I could move back. I landed an interview at the pharmacy and because of the distance, it was a phone interview. He must've liked me before we met because I got the job and 2 weeks later I was on a plane back to Arizona!

I met him the first day I started (he was my supervisor) and immediately thought he was just so cute! While he was training me we would talk about everything and it seemed like we had so much in common. I was always so excited whenever we talked at work - I just had the biggest crush on him! I thought the feeling was mutual, but would probably never amount to anything because of him being my boss. One day at work, I was pouring some big tablets into a weighing tray when he asked me for my number so we could hang out sometime. I freaked out and spilled the tablets everywhere! So much for playing it cool! We ended up texting after that and pretty quickly we started dating! We did face a lot of issues at work because he was my boss - so my advice is to not date anyone from work..unless you fall in love & then you'll get through it, however you have to!

The Proposal

Picture
We had just closed on our house and finished a lot of the repairs on the foreclosure. We decided we needed a break to relax and unwind after a month of cleaning and repairing, so we planned a last minute road trip to California. We came up with a lot of things to do - Santa Monica, Hollywood, Six Flags, THE BEACH! We left our new home and 6 hours later we had made it through LA traffic and to Santa Monica. We quickly checked in to our hotel and unpacked. When we finally made it to the beach (the whole day seemed like it took forever!), all we wanted to do was lay there and soak up the sun - so we did! Around sunset, Jason started acting very peculiar - a lot of adjusting and moving around. He propped himself up on an arm, looked at me and with a gorgeous ring in his hand, asked me to be his wife. YES!! Yes I will! I always give him a hard time for not getting down on one knee and instead laying down during the proposal but it couldn't have been any more perfect! Needless to say, the rest of the trip was a blast!
